Camille communicates mainly with the sign language and she becomes quite good to do more and more signs and to make her understand. Here are some pictograms and helps we use to help Camille communicate. We use pictograms picked in many database (see "links") and those from sign language used at school. Some also from Makaton program. Thanks to her excellent visual memory, Camille hasn't got any problem to recognize simple words (school, dad, mum...). Daily, we use sign language and of course oral communication and Camille says words she's able to pronounce. The ring binder below is used with the educator who comes weekly at home to help Camille to learn words and to structure her sentences. Inside the words are listed by category and Camille take those that are useful to do the sentence she wants and ask what she wants. She sticks the words and then comes to give it to us.
