Paul is two and a half years. He is born with three days late. At the beginning all seemed normal expect the breast-feeding that was very difficult and finally stopped after three weeks. After several months we began to suspect a problem because Paul didn't move a lot and we didn't arrive to attract his attention. When he was 8 months we went to see a paediatrician to get a different opinion than our doctor's one and we were finally guided to medico social center of our area. Paul was able to sit down without help when he was one. He walked on all fours when he was 18 months. Actually he is 29 months and he is able to walk with help but not alone. The biggest difficulty for him is to make him understood beacause he doesn't speak even he can give sounds. He also has difficulties with motor function and he can't use both hands for example and it's a problem to play to some games. In spite of all this, Paul is a smiling and pleasant little boy. He is calm and has a very good sleep : normal nights and atwo or three hours of afternoons rests. For the moment he has physiotherapy once a week during fifty five minutes and that's all we have been proposed.. Professionals seem to have a bit abandoned Paul's therapies ! Our first objective is to help Paul walking because he will have a lot more self-sufficiency. Then we will see to the communication and the hands use. **************************************************************** If you want to get in touch with Paul's parents, please send me a mail and I will let you be in contact with them. *****************************************************************
